Motivator with inner Peace

With his loud voice Karsten Timm not only drowns out the engine noise of his boat during training, but above all motivates his fosterlings and whips them to top performances. This is an immense support for many rowers, because without the necessary enthusiasm nothing works at rowing. Privately, Karsten Timm is a very calm person and enjoys the time with his wife in his home town of Rostock.

Last year, Karsten Timm supervised the double scull around Stephan Krüger and Tim Ole Naske. Together they qualified the boat for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, but then the two athletes separated. Now, the emotional coach has to form a new double scull out of the four rowers Hartig, Krüger, Piontek and Weber, as Tim Ole Naske is in the quad scull in the new season. No easy task for Karsten Timm, because one of the four athletes will only fly to Tokyo as a substitute, one of them even has to stay at home.
