From rookie to the Olympics?

Marc is the current U23 world champion in the single scull. Last year he was the first to cross the finish line in Florida and had the gold medal hanging over his neck. The year before he had already won the silver medal at the U23 World Championships. Because of these convincing performances he was promoted to the Olympic squad by head coach Marcus Schwarzrock.

With impressive training performances, a strong 2nd place in the M1x ranking and a new personal best on the erg, the 22-year-old was able to recommend himself for the double scull. He will compete in the World Cup I together with Stephan Krüger. In the World Cup II he will be in the same boat as Lars Hartig, after that the decision about the double scull for the Olympic Games will be made. As the youngest member of the scull national team he does not yet feel the pressure of having to participate in Tokyo. Can Marc adapt to a partner in time and recommend himself for the Olympic Games?
